Units and Measurements
A measurement without a unit is only a number, and science needs numbers everyone trusts. Chapter 1, Units and Measurements, of the NCERT Physics textbook for Class 11 builds that trust. You will use the SI system with base and derived units, convert across systems, and apply dimensional analysis to check equations and derive relations. Significant figures, rounding, and absolute, relative and percentage errors are practised, with vernier callipers and screw gauge illustrating precision in the laboratory.
