Motion in a Plane
A fielder throws across the ground while rain falls slanting through the air, and neither moves in a straight line. Chapter 3, Motion in a Plane, of the NCERT Physics textbook for Class 11 handles such motion. You will add and resolve vectors, separate horizontal and vertical parts of projectile motion, and derive range, height and time of flight. Position and velocity vectors with their derivatives are introduced, and uniform circular motion with centripetal acceleration shows direction changing at constant speed.
