Hu Tu Tu, Hu Tu Tu
This chapter from NCERT Looking Around, Class 4, Chapter 10 celebrates traditional games played in courtyards, fields, and school grounds. Children describe kabaddi, kho-kho, gilli-danda, marbles, skipping, and board games, with their teams, rules, and calls. By playing and recording scores, they learn fairness, teamwork, quick thinking, and care for playmates. The chapter shows that games need little equipment but much cooperation, and that local games carry the memory and joy of generations.
