Ray Optics and Optical Instruments
Your child will construct images with mirrors, lenses and prisms using pure geometry. Ray optics together with wave optics generally carry about fourteen marks jointly, often a mirror or lens formula question plus an instrument note. Learners build reflection with the mirror formula, refraction through Snell law, apparent depth and total internal reflection with prisms and optical fibres, the lensmaker formula with lens power, combinations with image formation in the eye, dispersion through a prism into scattering, and the simple and compound microscopes with refracting and reflecting telescop
