Motion
Chapter 7 of the Class 9 NCERT Science textbook makes movement measurable. Learners separate distance from displacement, speed from velocity, and uniform from accelerated motion. Ticker-timed observations grow into distance-time and velocity-time graphs whose slopes and areas yield speed, acceleration and displacement. The three equations of motion are derived graphically and applied to brakes, falls and sprints, and uniform circular motion closes the chapter by showing acceleration at work even when speed stays constant.
