Light - Reflection and Refraction
Your child will trace light as it bounces off mirrors and bends through lenses in the most diagram-heavy chapter of Class 10 science. Light generally carries about seven marks, often a three-mark ray diagram plus mirror or lens formula numerics. Learners draw ray diagrams for concave and convex mirrors and lenses, locate real and virtual images, apply the mirror and lens formulae with sign conventions, derive focal length from radius of curvature, measure lens power in dioptres, and connect the rules to headlights, shaving mirrors, spectacles and cameras. Three mistakes dominate. Students flip
