Quadrilaterals
Parallelograms, rhombuses, rectangles, squares and trapeziums appear in tiles, books and bridges, yet each obeys its own rules. Chapter 3, Understanding Quadrilaterals, of the NCERT Mathematics textbook for Class 8 classifies these four-sided figures and studies their properties. You will prove which sides and angles must be equal or parallel, use the angle-sum property of polygons, and test whether a given figure qualifies as a special type. Reasoning with these properties trains the precise if-then thinking geometry requires.
