Area
Farmers measure fields, painters estimate paint and engineers compute the tin for a tank, all through area and surface area. Chapter 9, Mensuration, of the NCERT Mathematics textbook for Class 8 extends area to the trapezium, general quadrilaterals and polygons, and to the circle with its circumference.
