Tenths and Hundredths
NCERT Math Magic for Class 5, Chapter 10, Tenths and Hundredths, begins with a metre tape divided into one hundred centimetres. It writes one part of ten as a tenth and one part of a hundred as a hundredth, places decimals on the number line between whole numbers, and links rupees with paise and metres with centimetres. Children compare decimals by place value, convert between fractions and decimals, and add and subtract tenths and hundredths using money, length, and grid shading.
