Playing with Lines
NCERT Joyful Mathematics for Class 2, Chapter 5 plays with lines by tracing straight, curved, slanting and wavy paths. Children draw horizons, standing ladders and sleeping lines, then combine them into squares, triangles and flags. They walk along floor lines, make shapes with sticks and spot lines in windows and kites. Noticing open and closed figures prepares geometry vocabulary.
