Vector Algebra
Wind pushes a boat sideways while its engine drives it forward, and one number cannot capture both effects. Chapter 10, Vector Algebra, of the NCERT Mathematics textbook for Class 12 introduces vectors for the job. You will study kinds of vectors, their addition and scalar multiplication, section formulae, and the scalar and vector products with geometric meaning. Projections, area interpretations and the scalar triple product are developed, so forces, displacements and moments can be computed with direction built in.
