Three Dimensional Geometry
Aeroplanes, tunnels and satellites need positions fixed in space, not just on a map. Chapter 11, Three Dimensional Geometry, of the NCERT Mathematics textbook for Class 12 builds that language. You will use direction cosines and direction ratios, write equations of lines in vector and Cartesian forms, and describe planes with normal forms and intercepts. The chapter finds angles between lines and planes, distances of points from planes, and the distance between skew lines, always pairing the vector form with its Cartesian twin.
