Differential Equations
Falling bodies, cooling tea and growing populations all obey laws written as relations between a function and its rate. Chapter 9, Differential Equations, of the NCERT Mathematics textbook for Class 12 introduces these equations. You will identify order and degree, form a differential equation from a family of curves, and distinguish general and particular solutions. Solution methods include separating variables, solving homogeneous equations by substitution, and first order linear equations with an integrating factor, each verified by differentiation.
