Trigonometric Functions
Turning through an angle can be measured in degrees or in the length of arc it cuts. Chapter 3, Trigonometric Functions, of the NCERT Mathematics textbook for Class 11 adopts radian measure and the unit circle. You will define sine, cosine and the other ratios for any angle, use signs in the four quadrants and allied-angle relations, prove standard identities, sketch the graphs of the basic functions, and solve simple trigonometric equations within a given interval.
